tom fletcher finishes what his wife started: ben carter flattened again
Ben Carter walked on court hunting for revenge and walked off with a 6-4, 6-3 receipt. Tom Fletcher didn't need brilliance, just patience, while Ben sprayed backhands on every big point like he was paid per error. Tom now leads their head-to-head 2-1, and this so-called rivalry is starting to look like a subscription service.
Worse still, Hannah Weber, Tom's wife, already beat Ben this season. That car ride home will be smug. Both men sit on 7 points, but Tom holds #12 and eyes Elena Petrova (#11, 8 points) in their first meeting of the season. Leader Lukas Horvat, on 19, won't lose sleep. Tom's real danger is Hannah, whom he hasn't played yet. Lose that one and he's sleeping on the couch.
